Why OTP Verification Matters for Your Deliveries
Every single Prisdanna Express delivery ends with a one-time code. No code, no handover. It is the single most important anti-fraud feature of our platform, and we think every logistics service in Lagos should copy it.
How it works
When a delivery is booked, we generate a random 4-digit OTP. That code is sent to the receiver — never printed on the waybill, never shown to the rider's app, never visible to a third party.
At drop-off, the rider asks the receiver for the code. They tap it into their driver app. Only a correct code advances the delivery to "delivered" and releases payment to the rider.
What it prevents
- Wrong-person handoffs — your package does not get dropped with a gateman who happens to be standing outside.
- Rider fraud — a rider cannot mark a delivery as complete without the real receiver in the loop.
- Porch piracy — packages are never left unattended at an address.
What if the receiver does not have the code?
The sender can resend it from the tracking page, or our agent desk can verify the receiver via a call-back. Delivery continues — nothing is ever lost because of a missed text.
Small feature. Big peace of mind.
